Inland Dutch barges
Inland Dutch barges
Our Belle Etoile Dutch Barge is built for use inland on the wide beam canals and rivers of Europe and wide beam waterways in the U.K. In common with most other Dutch barges, save for our seagoing FCN Dutch Barge, she is not properly seagoing and is built to category D of the Recreational Craft Directive. However in the right hands and in the right conditions and with the right forecast she can make the quick trip from the Thames to Calais, this avoiding the expense of road and ferry transport to France.
The Belle Etoile Dutch barge benefits from the same attention to detail, use of the best materials and workmanship that go into our FCN seagoing Dutch barge . Our Belle Etoile inland Dutch barge is quite simply made to an inland specification and the price reflects that.
Sizes of this Dutch barge start at 40ft x 11ft and go up to 65ft x 13ft with a choice of interior layouts to suit individual requirements.
All feature an easy to fold down wheel house with canopy to the rear of this, which rear gives a large space for dining and relaxing outside when under way or when moored
40ft Dutch barge specification gives a comfortable boat with large owners cabin forward with good sized double berth, large shower W.C compartment with galley opposite. Large saloon with settee berth and free standing easy chairs. Steps out to easy fold down wheelhouse with open rear deck under canopy
55ft Dutch barge specification gives more beam, an island double berth forward and a second sleeping cabin. The galley can be moved right aft by the wheelhouse if required and a second W.C. compartment added
65ft Dutch barge specification gives even more room, perhaps a third sleeping cabin/ workshop etc.
